Joshua Schultz

My name is Joshua Thomas Schultz and I'm married and have three sons. After graduating high school in Ohio I started my life by entering the United States Air Force. I entered the military as a young kid with little direction and experience in life but twenty years later I retired and have a lot to offer. During the course of my military career, I've had the opportunities to travel and live in different countries and further my educational career. Some of the biggest lessons I learned was to be able to see past cultural differences and work together to accomplish a common goal. I've also learned that education never ends; it is a continuous process that may take different forms of delivery but it is a constant.

Through my life experiences, I understand the student is more important than the subject matter. Kids are unique individuals with their interests intellects and ideas who need to know that they are in a secure environment where they can grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students reach their full potential as students and productive citizens. To establish this type of environment I believe students regardless of age need to be able to take some risks and share their ideas. As a teacher I will support this by promoting a safe environment built on respect, I will act as a guide and use my student's interests to direct their learning.
